MAKATI CITY — A woman driving an SUV was shot at by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City, on Thursday, according to an initial police report.
The attackers, reportedly traveling in tandem, opened fire on the vehicle along Chino Roces Avenue. More than eight bullets struck the driver’s side of the SUV, according to the initial account.
The woman was alone inside the vehicle when the shooting occurred. She was rushed to a hospital for medical attention, although authorities had yet to confirm whether she suffered gunshot wounds or other injuries.
The victim’s identity remained unknown as of the initial report.
The shooting caused a brief slowdown in traffic along the busy avenue.
Police have yet to determine the motive for the attack or identify the gunmen, who remained at large.
The investigation is continuing.
