More than 39,000 runners took part in the Lingkod Bayani Run 2026 on Sunday, Sept. 13, gathering at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila and other venues nationwide for a day of fitness, solidarity and public service.
Organized by the Civil Service Commission, the nationwide run is among the activities marking the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary. Government workers, their families and other participants joined the event under the slogan “Stride as One, Serve the Nation.”
The run carries the theme “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” highlighting the dedication and contribution of public servants to the country.
For the thousands who took to the streets, the event was more than a morning run—it was a collective expression of camaraderie and commitment to serving the Filipino people.
