MANILA — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday forecast generally fair weather nationwide, with only isolated rain showers expected in some areas due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
According to PAGASA’s 5 a.m. advisory, no low-pressure area is expected to develop within the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next four to five days.
Weather specialist Leanne Loreto said conditions in Luzon will remain warm and humid, except in Batanes and the Babuyan Islands, where the southwest monsoon may bring occasional isolated rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
The Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan are likely to experience generally fair weather throughout the day.
PAGASA added that light to moderate winds from the south to southwest will prevail across the archipelago, while coastal waters will remain moderate.
