MANILA – The country will continue to experience hot and humid conditions with scattered rain showers on Thursday, according to the Philippine weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said no low pressure area is currently being tracked for potential cyclone formation, weather specialist Leanne Loreto reported.
The southwest monsoon (habagat) is still influencing the western part of northern Luzon, bringing scattered rain and thunderstorms to the Ilocos Region, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands. PAGASA cautioned that moderate to heavy rainfall may trigger flooding or landslides in affected areas.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will see isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized weather activity.
Temperatures are expected to reach up to 35°C in Tuguegarao City and around 34°C in Metro Manila and Legazpi City.
Moderate winds and seas will prevail over northern Luzon, while the rest of the archipelago will have lighter wind conditions and generally slight to moderate seas, the agency added.
