
MANILA – The easterlies will continue to bring warm and humid weather across the Philippines on Monday, the national weather agency said.
Based on PAGASA’s 5 a.m. bulletin, provinces including Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rains or thunderstorms, still due to the easterlies.
The highest heat index is expected to reach 45°C in Dumangas, Iloilo, and Guiuan, Eastern Samar.
Danger-level heat indices are also forecast in several areas: Sangley Point, Cavite (44°C); Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Iloilo City, and La Granja in Negros Occidental (43°C); and Iba, Zambales; San Ildefonso, Bulacan; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Puerto Princesa; and Cuyo, Palawan (42°C).
Winds across the country will be generally light to moderate from the east to northeast, with slight to moderate sea conditions expected.
