
MANILA – Most areas in the Philippines will experience fair and warm weather on Monday, the country’s weather agency reported.
According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration weather forecaster Chenel Dominguez, temperatures are expected to rise during the day, with the hottest conditions likely around noon.
However, localized thunderstorms may still trigger isolated rain showers in some areas.
The day’s highest temperatures are projected to reach 35°C in Tuguegarao, while Zamboanga City and Davao City may record temperatures of up to 34°C.
The heat index could soar to 42°C in Dumangas, Iloilo, indicating potentially uncomfortable heat conditions.
Meanwhile, the heat index in Metro Manila may reach 37°C to 38°C, according to PAGASA.
Dominguez added that no weather systems or tropical disturbances are currently being monitored either inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
Winds across the country will remain light to moderate, with sea conditions ranging from slight to moderate.
