SAN RAFAEL, Bulacan — A 31-year-old mother and her two young children were found dead inside a vehicle parked in a secluded area of Barangay Talacsan here, triggering an investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
The victims, a nine-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, were discovered with their mother at the rear portion of the vehicle at about 2 p.m. Thursday, according to police.
Barangay officials rushed to the area after receiving a report about the vehicle. Police subsequently secured the scene and launched an investigation.
Authorities said the vehicle may have been left in the area as early as Wednesday night.
Scene of the Crime Operatives returned to the site early Friday to continue processing the vehicle and collect additional evidence. Investigators also conducted 3D scanning inside the vehicle as part of the forensic examination.
Police have yet to establish the motive behind the deaths or identify any suspect.
Investigators are also checking possible CCTV footage and coordinating with authorities in nearby areas to trace the vehicle’s movements and determine what happened before the victims were found.
The police investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the mother and her two children.
The remains are expected to be brought to the family’s residence in Angat, Bulacan.
