MANILA — The Philippine weather bureau on Saturday forecast generally fair weather conditions across the country, while warning that isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may still affect some areas because of the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said in its early morning bulletin that isolated rains are expected in the Ilocos Region, Apayao, Abra, Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, and Zambales, where the habagat remains active over the western portion of Northern Luzon.
For Metro Manila and the rest of the country, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected, with occasional rain showers or thunderstorms developing due to localized thunderstorm activity.
Light to moderate winds will continue to affect the entire archipelago, while coastal waters are expected to remain slight to moderate, PAGASA added.
