MANILA – The easterlies continue to influence weather conditions over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, bringing scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, PAGASA reported Tuesday.
Affected areas include Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental, where intermittent rains are expected throughout the day.
The rest of the country may still experience isolated thunderstorms due to localized heating and weather disturbances.
PAGASA reminded the public that heavy rain events could trigger flash floods or landslides in susceptible areas, especially during severe thunderstorms.
Despite the wet conditions, wind and sea states are expected to remain generally light to moderate, allowing normal maritime operations.
The weather bureau also confirmed that no tropical cyclone is currently being monitored within the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
