MANILA — The prevailing easterlies will bring cloudy skies and scattered rainshowers to several areas in the Visayas and Mindanao on Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its latest weather advisory, PAGASA said Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental may experience isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day due to the influence of easterly winds.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country is expected to have generally fair weather, although localized thunderstorms may trigger isolated rainshowers, particularly during the afternoon or evening.
The state weather bureau warned residents in affected areas to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides during periods of intense thunderstorms.
Across the archipelago, winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters are expected to remain slight to moderate.
PAGASA also reported that no low-pressure area is currently being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility for possible tropical cyclone development.
