MANILA — The state weather bureau on Tuesday said several areas in Mindanao will continue to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
According to the 5 a.m. advisory issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), affected areas include the Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Soccsksargen, Davao Oriental, and Davao Occidental.
PAGASA warned residents, especially those living near rivers, low-lying communities, and mountainous areas, to remain cautious as heavy rains may trigger flash floods and landslides.
The Visayas and the remaining parts of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
In Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon, localized thunderstorms may also bring isolated rain showers despite generally fair weather conditions.
Moderate winds from the northeast to east will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon, where coastal waters are expected to be moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
PAGASA said temperatures across the country may range between 25.9°C and 34°C.
