MANILA – The Palace on Monday brushed aside rumors of an impending Cabinet revamp in the Marcos administration, saying there is no verified information to support the claims.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said reports of a possible reshuffle, including speculation about multiple officials being replaced, remain unfounded.
She stressed that Cabinet appointments and any potential changes are solely decided by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Addressing rumors that she might be included in a shake-up, Castro said she serves at the pleasure of the President and remains focused on her role.
She also cautioned against the spread of misinformation, hinting that those behind such reports should be more responsible.
Castro further denied claims that a large-scale reshuffle involving up to 10 officials is underway, saying there is no such development at present.
No official confirmation or announcement has been issued by the Office of the President regarding any Cabinet restructuring.
Speculation intensified after the recent resignation of Eduardo Año and Carlito Galvez Jr., who both stepped down from their posts last week for personal reasons.
