MANILA — A 39-year-old alleged member of the “Commando Gang” was arrested in Tondo, Manila Monday evening for possession of illegal drugs, carrying a concealed weapon, and resisting arrest, police said.
The suspect was identified in a police report as ALBERT NUQUE y MAKILING, alias “Momoy,” 39, jobless, of 441 Inocencio Street, Brgy. 93, Tondo, Manila.
According to the MPD PS-1 Raxabago Police Station report, Nuque was arrested at around 6:30 p.m. on April 21, 2026 in an alley near the corner of Riverside Street, Brgy. 93, Tondo.
The report said personnel of Pritil PCP, under PLT RUBEN B CAÑARES, were conducting “Oplan Galugad” when a concerned citizen approached Pat Alberto Saygo III and Pat Rhedie Jhon Avila to report illegal drug activity by distribution in the area.
Upon arrival, police said they saw Nuque in possession of two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The sachets were marked ATS1 4-21-2026 and ATS2 4-21-2026 during inventory.
During a standard frisk, police recovered one foldable knife, color black and gray, tucked in the suspect’s waist. It was marked ATS3 4-21-2026.
Nuque was informed of his violations and constitutional rights, the report stated. He was brought to the SDEU office at around 7:40 p.m. after markings and inventory at the place of arrest.
The recovered drug evidence had an estimated gross weight of 0.3 gram with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of approximately P2,040.00, according to the report.
Nuque faces charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Manila City Ordinance 864-C for concealing a deadly weapon, and Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code for resisting arrest.
The confiscated evidence and the suspect will be brought to the MPD Forensic Unit for examination. Nuque will be temporarily detained at the MPD PS-1 custodial facility.
