MANILA – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Small Business Corporation (SBCorp), has launched a PHP2-billion financing program to support small transport operators and drivers in transitioning to electric vehicles.
Under the program, qualified borrowers—particularly those with valid business permits—may access funding of up to PHP1.5 million per unit, with a maximum borrowing cap of PHP3 million per applicant.
The loan facility offers a repayment period of up to five years and includes a grace period of up to one year covering both principal and interest.
Applications will open on April 21 and may be submitted online via the SBCorp Money mobile application by selecting the E-Transport Loan option.
DTI also advised applicants to check the official SBCorp website or coordinate with nearby DTI offices and Negosyo Centers for assistance.
