Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso presented a father and son to the public on Tuesday, April 15, 2026, after the two surrendered to police for the fatal stabbing of their neighbor in Tondo.
The suspects were identified as Jeffrey Saludar, 49, and his son Jefferson Saludar, 25. Both voluntarily surrendered to the Manila Police District–Raxabago Police Station and were presented during the Manila Public Information Office’s “Talk To The People” program.
Police investigation showed the victim, Jhon Jhon Bacolod, 46, was stabbed inside a computer shop at GK Compound, Barangay 105, Tondo. Bacolod sustained multiple stab wounds and died while being treated at Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center.
The Saludars told investigators they did not plan to kill Bacolod. They claimed they only wanted to confront him over an April 12 incident where Bacolod allegedly tried to stab the younger Saludar. The confrontation, however, escalated into the fatal attack.
Mayor Domagoso said the suspects must be held accountable and that the victim’s family deserves justice.
“The end does not justify the means. You have to face what you did. The victim must get justice,” Domagoso said.
Murder charges have been filed against Jeffrey and Jefferson Saludar before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office. Both remain in police custody pending inquest proceedings.
