MANILA — Vietnamese EV brand VinFast just rolled out a rental program aimed squarely at TNVS and ride-hailing drivers — and the headline rate is hard to ignore: *P1,000 per day.
Announced on April 8, 2026, the Green Vehicle Rental Program is now live in the Philippines and Indonesia.
It lets drivers rent units from VinFast’s commercial-focused Green lineup, including the Herio Green and Limo Green, through authorized dealerships. No need to drop a huge down payment to get started.
The pitch is simple: low upfront deposit, long-term contracts, and fixed daily rates that start at P1,000 in the Philippines and IDR 312,500 in Indonesia.
VinFast says the setup is meant to help drivers start earning quickly without taking on full vehicle ownership costs, especially with fuel prices still volatile.
If you’d rather own the unit, VinFast is also offering commercial financing with reduced initial payments and repayment schedules aligned with driver income.
To sweeten the deal for fleet use, VinFast is throwing in free charging at V-Green stations until March 2029 for drivers and operators under the program. That should cut daily operating costs significantly versus gasoline.
Initial rollout covers major urban hubs like Metro Manila and Greater Jakarta, with expansion planned as the program scales.
VinFast’s Green models are specced for frequent transport service use, with an emphasis on durability, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
The company says the rental model gives drivers and small fleet operators more flexibility to switch to EVs based on cash flow and route demands.
