
MANILA – Generally fair weather is expected to prevail across the Philippines on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
Weather specialist Veronica Torres said most parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies accompanied by warm and humid conditions. Chances of isolated thunderstorms remain low.
Meanwhile, Super Typhoon Sinlaku was last monitored approximately 2,455 kilometers east of Southern Luzon. PAGASA said the cyclone is unlikely to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility and is not expected to affect the country in the coming days.
Temperatures are forecast to peak at 37°C in Tuguegarao, while Metro Manila, Davao, and Zamboanga may see highs of up to 34°C.
However, the heat index could climb to a dangerous 46°C in Cotabato City, Maguindanao. In Metro Manila, the heat index may range between 37°C and 38°C.
Authorities advise the public to limit outdoor activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and to take precautions such as staying hydrated, using umbrellas, and wearing light-colored clothing.
Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate sea conditions will continue across the archipelago.
