MANILA – Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will restart its Manila-Riyadh service on April 10, the airline announced Wednesday, following improved conditions in the region.
“The safety of our passengers and crew is our foremost concern. To maintain this, flights to Riyadh will temporarily use an alternate routing,” the airline said in an advisory.
Some flights will include a short technical stop in Bangkok for refueling, during which passengers will stay onboard.
PAL had earlier suspended select Middle East routes due to ongoing tensions. A reported two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran was cited as a positive development.
The airline said it is closely monitoring the situation and will restore standard routes and full flight capacity when it is safe to do so.
