MANILA — Four Yanson siblings – Roy, Ricardo Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina, and Emily — have been declared “fugitives from justice” by a Bacolod court due to their absence in a qualified theft case tied to a bitter power struggle within the Yanson Group of Bus Companies.
The siblings, who have been living abroad, are accused of unlawfully taking corporate assets and equipment during the 2019 dispute.
The court’s decision strips them of their right to seek court relief and participate in legal proceedings until they surrender. With warrants out for their arrest, the siblings face serious consequences if they return to the Philippines.
The Yanson Group, a major player in the country’s bus transport industry, has been embroiled in a family feud.
The case has sparked concerns about the impact on the business and its employees.
The court has set a follow-up hearing for May 6, 2026, to monitor the status of the outstanding arrest warrants.
