
MANILA – The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has processed more than 3.1 million voter applications since the registration for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) reopened.
As of March 14, a total of 3,137,948 applications have been submitted, with women slightly outnumbering men—1,633,469 female applicants versus 1,504,479 male applicants.
Among the applications, 135,755 are reactivations from previous voters, 816,138 are new registrations from individuals 18 years old and above, and 899,860 are from youth aged 15 to 17 applying for SK voter status.
The region with the highest registration figures is Calabarzon (Region 4-A) with 537,847 applications, followed by Central Luzon (Region 3) at 360,564 and the National Capital Region at 322,054. Regions with the lowest registrations include Mimaropa (Region 4-B) with 98,189; Caraga with 97,196; BARMM with 71,476; and the Cordillera Administrative Region with 42,714.
Voter registration began on October 20, 2025, and will close on May 18, 2026. The BSKE is slated for November 2, 2026.
