MANILA — Online sellers, digital merchants and other covered taxpayers have been given additional time to comply with the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) requirement to display their Registration Seal Badge on digital platforms.
The BIR said Tuesday it issued Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 99-2026, extending the compliance deadline to Oct. 31, 2026.
The extension covers online sellers, merchants, digital platform operators and other taxpayers required to display the seal on their websites, e-commerce and e-marketplace pages, social media accounts and other applicable online platforms.
According to the BIR, the Registration Seal Badge serves as a visible indication that an online business is registered with the tax agency.
The bureau said the seal must be prominently displayed where consumers can easily see it. The requirement is intended to promote transparency and allow customers to check whether businesses operating online are properly registered.
BIR Commissioner Charlito Mendoza urged covered taxpayers to use the extended period to complete the requirement.
The commissioner said the measure is designed to make business registration more transparent and easier for consumers to verify.
The BIR encouraged all concerned taxpayers to comply with the new deadline.
