MANILA, Philippines — Motorists will once again be greeted by higher fuel prices this week as oil companies announced another substantial increase in pump prices effective Tuesday, July 28.
Shell Pilipinas said it will raise gasoline prices by P6.80 per liter, diesel by P7.30 per liter, and kerosene by P4.20 per liter beginning 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Petron, Gazz, and Unioil Petroleum Philippines will implement identical price adjustments for gasoline and diesel. Kerosene, however, is not sold by these companies.
Other oil firms are expected to release their respective pricing advisories later.
Industry analysts had earlier projected another round of significant fuel price hikes, citing sustained increases in global oil prices. The upward trend has been linked to concerns over possible supply disruptions as commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz remains largely restricted.
Last week, fuel retailers also imposed hefty increases, with gasoline prices rising by P3.50 to P3.55 per liter, diesel by P10.00 to P10.68 per liter, and kerosene by P11.60 to P11.77 per liter.
As of July 27, 2026, total year-to-date net adjustments have reached P49.92 per liter for gasoline, P50.43 per liter for diesel, and P48.39 per liter for kerosene, reflecting the continued volatility in global oil markets.
