MANILA — The Supreme Court has finalized the list of schools that will host this year’s Bar examinations, naming 15 universities and colleges across the country as official testing centers for the three-day licensure tests in September.
In Bar Bulletin No. 3, Bar Chairperson and Associate Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan announced that the examinations will be conducted on September 6, 9, and 13, with testing venues strategically distributed throughout Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao to provide greater accessibility for aspiring lawyers.
Metro Manila will have the largest concentration of testing centers, with seven institutions designated to accommodate examinees. These are New Era University, University of Santo Tomas, San Beda University, Ateneo de Manila University School of Law, Manila Adventist College, University of the Philippines Bonifacio Global City, and San Beda College Alabang.
The Supreme Court also selected Saint Louis University in Baguio City, Cagayan State University, and the University of Nueva Caceres to serve as testing centers in Luzon outside the National Capital Region.
In the Visayas, examinees may take the Bar examinations at Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation in Tacloban City, University of San Jose-Recoletos in Cebu City, or Central Philippine University in Iloilo City.
Meanwhile, Ateneo de Davao University and Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology were designated as the official testing venues for candidates in Mindanao.
Gaerlan also offered words of encouragement to thousands of law graduates preparing for the country’s toughest professional examination, reminding them that unexpected challenges are part of the journey toward becoming members of the legal profession.
The Supreme Court likewise confirmed that San Beda College Alabang will again function as the National Headquarters for the Bar Examinations, marking the third consecutive year that the institution has hosted the central operations for the annual licensure test.
The High Court is expected to release additional advisories and examination guidelines as the September Bar examinations draw nearer.
