MANILA — DoubleDragon Corp. is set to strengthen its presence in the tourism and hospitality sector with the opening of a 519-room hotel in Davao City, a development expected to become the largest hotel facility in Mindanao.
The company announced that Hotel101-Davao will officially welcome guests beginning July 30, adding a major accommodation hub in one of the country’s fastest-growing urban centers.
Located along Eco West Drive in Davao City, the project occupies a prime property and is designed to cater to both business and leisure travelers. The hotel will feature conference and function facilities, a swimming pool, fitness center, dining services, and a helipad.
DoubleDragon said the Davao project forms part of a broader expansion strategy that will significantly increase the number of Hotel101 rooms operating locally and internationally this year.
The company is targeting the opening of more than 2,200 hotel rooms in 2026, including new properties in Spain, Cebu, and Japan.
Beyond hospitality, DoubleDragon expects its expanding portfolio of commercial properties, industrial warehouses, office spaces, and hotels to generate stronger recurring revenues in the coming years.
The firm also continues to pursue the international growth of the Hotel101 brand, positioning it as a Philippine-developed hospitality concept with global ambitions.
Company officials said their long-term objective is to establish Hotel101 properties across multiple international markets, eventually creating a worldwide network of standardized hotel accommodations.
The opening of Hotel101-Davao is expected to enhance Davao City’s tourism infrastructure, support economic activity, and provide additional capacity for visitors traveling to Mindanao for business, conventions, and leisure.
With the new facility set to begin operations next month, DoubleDragon moves a step closer to its goal of expanding the Hotel101 brand into a globally recognized hospitality network.
