MANILA, Philippines — Upon Friday’s signing of the breakthrough deal ending the Middle East war, markets are responding positively, raising expectations of a significant rollback on fuel prices this coming week.
Following the first three trading days on the Mean of Platts Singapore, an industry source has disclosed that diesel prices could see a rollback of ₱7 to ₱9 per liter by Tuesday next week. Gasoline prices, on the other hand, are projected to decline by ₱3 to ₱5 per liter.
Energy sector experts, however, stated that the estimates are still subject to change, as next week’s price adjustments will depend on the outcome of the remaining two trading days.
