MANILA — The Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued an Immigration Lookout Bulletin Order (ILBO) against former Ateneo Blue Eagles head coach Tab Baldwin, Epok Quimpo, and three other individuals in connection with the ongoing investigation into the deaths of two Ateneo student-athletes in Aurora.
Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida announced the issuance of the lookout order during a press conference on Wednesday.
Authorities said the move comes as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two student-athletes continues.
Vida clarified that an ILBO serves only as a monitoring mechanism and does not prohibit those listed from leaving the country.
“An ILBO is a monitoring mechanism. It is intended to alert authorities should the subjects attempt to travel abroad while the investigation is ongoing,” Vida said.
