MANILA – A recent WR Numero Research survey showed that 71 percent of Filipinos are satisfied with the performance of their local House of Representatives members, Deputy Speaker Jay Khonghun said Thursday.
Based on the March 2026 Philippine Public Opinion Monitor, Khonghun said about seven in 10 respondents expressed approval of their district representatives, indicating strong grassroots support.
The survey also found that the House leadership under Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III and Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos received a 35 percent “good” rating, while 30 percent were undecided and 35 percent dissatisfied.
Khonghun noted that these results are comparable to ratings for the Senate, suggesting similar public perception of both chambers.
The poll was conducted through face-to-face interviews with 1,455 adults from March 10 to 17, with a ±3 percent margin of error at a 95 percent confidence level.
He said district-level satisfaction better reflects actual service delivery, as it is based on constituents’ direct experience with their lawmakers.
“The 71 percent satisfaction rating shows that constituents feel the presence of their representatives in their daily lives,” Khonghun said.
The survey also showed that 30 percent of respondents remain undecided on the House’s overall performance.
