
MANILA, Philippines — Intense heat will persist Tuesday, with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration projecting a peak heat index of 43°C in Sangley Point.
This falls under the “danger” level, which increases the risk of serious heat-related illnesses. Meanwhile, Metro Manila will remain under “extreme caution,” with heat index values ranging from 38°C to 39°C.
The heat index measures how hot conditions feel when humidity is factored in.
