MANILA — Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Monday clarified that there is no Interpol red notice yet for former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.
Remulla said Roque’s passport has already been cancelled, but stressed that no red notice has been issued so far.
“Si Harry naman ay cancelled na ang passport niya pero wala pa siyang red notice,” he said.
Interpol defines a red notice as a request to law enforcement worldwide to locate and temporarily detain a person pending extradition or similar legal action.
Roque earlier said he is willing to wait for Remulla in Austria, where he is currently based.
This came after Remulla earlier said that Roque would be arrested once an Interpol red notice is issued.
