
MANILA — Gilas Pilipinas Women standout Vanessa de Jesus has officially entered the 2026 WNBA Draft, signaling a major step forward in her basketball career.
The announcement was made on Saturday, with the talented point guard setting her sights on joining the premier women’s professional basketball league in the United States.
De Jesus is currently seeing action for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish women’s basketball, after previously playing for the Duke Blue Devils women’s basketball.
On the international stage, she has been a key contributor for Gilas Pilipinas Women. During the 2023 FIBA Women’s Asia Cup Division A, she averaged 12.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. She improved her numbers in the 2025 edition of the same tournament, posting 13.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per outing.
The 2026 WNBA Draft is scheduled to take place on April 13.
