MANILA — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) has repatriated 4,241 Filipinos from the Middle East as tensions escalate in the region.
The latest group of 344 returnees arrived in Manila on April 3 via a government-chartered flight from the UAE
Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac’s team is assisting, including financial aid, temporary housing, and livelihood support. Around 200,000 job opportunities are being prepared for returning OFWs, tailored to their skills and experience.
More chartered flights are in the works to bring home Filipinos.
The government is working to ensure a smooth transition for returnees, with the DMW staying committed to supporting
OFWs.
