MANILA — Residents in several areas of Manila, Rizal, and Cavite are bracing for water interruptions tonight, April 6, as Manila Water conducts maintenance work and grapples with low water levels at Ipo Dam. A 6-hour service interruption is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. in parts of Rizal, affecting thousands of customers.
The hit areas include Manila’s Tondo, Binondo, and Quiapo districts, as well as Rizal towns like Angono, Binangonan, and Taytay. In Cavite, Kawit, Noveleta, and parts of Imus and Bacoor are also expected to experience disruptions. Manila Water is urging customers to stock up on water and be prepared for the outage.
The water utility company says it’s doing its best to restore services ASAP, but advises customers to take precautions. With heavy rain causing flooding and class suspensions in some areas, the situation is getting more complicated. Stay dry and stay tuned for updates!
