The Philippines is trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty, corruption, and neglect. While politicians preach progress, the reality on the ground tells a different story.
Widespread poverty and high unemployment rates have become the norm, with many Filipinos struggling to make ends meet.
The root cause? Corruption. Billions meant for development and social welfare programs are siphoned off by corrupt officials, leaving the poor to fester in their own misery.
The lack of accountability is staggering, with few held responsible for the plowback of funds meant for the people.
The consequences are dire. Unemployment is soaring, with many forced into informal work or worse, leaving families to suffer.
Basic services like healthcare and education are luxuries, not rights. The youth are disillusioned, seeing no future in a country where corruption reigns supreme.
The recent fuel price hikes are just another blow.
The government claims it’s due to global prices, but people see it as another opportunity for graft.
The poor are left to bear the brunt, with no safety net to cushion the impact.
Until the government tackles corruption head-on, the cycle will continue. It’s time to hold leaders accountable and prioritize the people’s welfare. The Philippines deserves better.
