A 29-year-old man was identified as the suspect in an alleged arson incident that occurred along Visayan Avenue, corner Leo Street, Barangay 572, Manila, on March 20, 2026.
Froylan Garduce Balthazar, a resident of 824 Leo Street, Sampaloc, Manila, allegedly set a store on fire using a flaming cardboard.
The incident was reported by Barangay Kagawad Florante Danao Baltazar, 56, at around 1:07 PM, and witnessed by Exel John Von Probido Mesina.
Responding personnel from PS-4 Gulod PCP, PSSg Randy Reyes, and Pat. John Philip Agudo immediately proceeded to the area to provide initial police intervention.
The Bureau of Fire Protection also responded, led by Duty Investigator FO2 Kim Allen Meres, who conducted a fire scene assessment.
The investigation is ongoing, and necessary documentation is being undertaken prior to the filing of appropriate charges.
