MANILA — Aksyon Demokratiko has appointed Vice Mayor Chi Atienza as its new Vice President for Women, recognizing her dedication to public service and advocacy for women’s rights.
The appointment coincides with National Women’s Month, highlighting Atienza’s commitment to empowering women.
Atienza expressed her gratitude, saying, “Maraming salamat po Aksyon Demokratiko. I will continuously use my voice to speak for women and their rights.”
As Vice President for Women, she aims to amplify the voices of Manileñas and ensure equal opportunities.
Aksyon Demokratiko leader Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso praised Atienza’s work as a council member, advocating for policies that protect and uplift women, children, and single parents.
Atienza and Domagoso are known for their grassroots approach, delivering services directly to communities and listening to concerns.
Atienza’s new role will focus on promoting women’s welfare and addressing their needs, aligning with the party’s commitment to serving the people.
