MANILA — A fatal accident in Pagbilao, Quezon, claimed two lives and left two others fighting for survival on Wednesday morning.
A wing van truck loaded with livestock feeds careened out of control downhill and slammed into a multicab at Barangay Silangang Malicboy, causing devastating damage.
The multicab was dragged and thrown into a nearby creek, killing the driver and truck helper instantly. The truck driver and a multicab passenger survived but are receiving medical attention.
Rescue teams from the BFP and MDRRMO worked to free the trapped truck helper’s body.
Investigators are probing the crash, focusing on the suspected brake failure that led to the deadly collision.
