
MANILA – The Letran Lady Knights maintained their flawless run in NCAA Season 101 women’s volleyball after edging Arellano University in a tense five-set battle, finishing 25-14, 24-26, 26-24, 20-25, 15-10 on Friday at the San Andres Gym.
Sheena Vanessa Sarie delivered a standout performance with 27 points, 16 digs, and 13 receptions, helping Letran extend its winning streak in Group B to 12 games. Nizelle Aeriyen Martin contributed 19 points, while Judiel Nitura added 18 points, including two aces and two blocks.
Arellano University’s Samantha Gabrielle Tiratira and Kheisha Alexa Abitria scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, as the Lady Chiefs stayed in third with a 5-7 record.
Meanwhile, Lyceum of the Philippines University holds a 3-9 record, and Emilio Aguinaldo College is winless at 0-11.
In Group A, the University of Perpetual Help Lady Altas reinforced their lead by sweeping San Sebastian College-Recoletos, 25-17, 25-16, 25-19. Jemalyn Menor led with 17 points, Cyrille Joie Almeniana added 14, and Fianne Ariola recorded 25 excellent sets, keeping the Lady Altas at 10-2.
Juna May Gonzales managed 10 points for the Lady Stags, who remain fourth at 5-8.
