MANILA — Caloocan City’s 64th cityhood anniversary celebrations ended with a dazzling bang as Lorin Benavides was crowned Miss Caloocan 2026 (in photo, courtesy of Caloocan LGU).
The grand coronation night, held at the Caloocan City Sports Complex, was a spectacular showcase of women’s empowerment, local culture, and fashion.
Benavides, representing Barangay 140, took home the coveted title, beating out tough competition from Aliah Canillas, Joy Angelyn Dungog, Ma. Veronica Paula Guzarin, and Kimberly Quilinguen, who were declared runners-up.
City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan congratulated the winners and participants, praising their talent, beauty, and dedication to women’s empowerment. “Manalo man o matalo, ipinakita ninyo sa aming lahat ang ganda, talino, talento, at malasakit sa kapwa ng mga tunay na Batang Kankaloo,” he said.
The Mayor also thanked the Caloocan City Cultural Affairs and Tourism Council and the Cultural Affairs and Tourism Office for their hard work in making the event a success, promoting local fashion and tourism. ia/
