MANILA — Eligible Filipinos, particularly first-time voters and those with changes in their personal information, are being encouraged to take advantage of the reopening of voter registration on November 10, 2026, ahead of the 2028 National and Local Elections.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) announced that the registration window will remain open until July 30, 2027, allowing applicants sufficient time to complete their transactions and verify the accuracy of their voter records.
Registration will be conducted every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Additional services will also be available on Saturdays and holidays when designated registration activities are scheduled.
Aside from local election offices, applicants can visit authorized satellite and mall registration centers. They may also use the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) and Special Register Anywhere Program (SRAP), which provide alternative venues for processing voter registration applications.
Among the transactions covered are applications for first-time registration, transfer of records within a locality, reactivation of deactivated registrations, and correction or change of personal information, including names.
The Comelec will also process requests for the inclusion or reinstatement of voter records, transfer of registrations from Foreign Service Posts to local offices, and updating of information for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and members of Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Cultural Communities.
The registration exercise is an important preparatory step for the 2028 polls, ensuring that qualified voters are properly listed in the country’s electoral database.
COMELEC is urging the public to act early, check their registration status and settle any necessary corrections to avoid last-minute difficulties when the registration period closes.
