MANILA — Flower vendors at Manila’s Dangwa market were already busy on October 31, 2026, as customers flocked to the popular flower trading center to buy blooms ahead of the annual Undas observance.

With All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day approaching, families are purchasing flowers to offer at cemeteries and memorial parks in remembrance of departed loved ones.

The number of customers is expected to increase further in the coming days as more Filipinos prepare for cemetery visits and family gatherings during the November 1 and 2 holidays.

Dangwa, one of Metro Manila’s major flower markets, traditionally experiences increased commercial activity ahead of Undas, when demand for fresh flowers rises as families prepare their offerings for the graves of relatives.

Vendors are anticipating continued customer arrivals as the holiday approaches, making the final days of October among the busiest trading periods for the flower industry.

The annual rush also highlights the enduring Filipino tradition of honoring the dead through flowers, prayers and visits to cemeteries during Undas.
