MANILA — Customs authorities seized around 100 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱680,000 from an abandoned domestic parcel at a cargo warehouse of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Thursday.
The parcel, declared as containing “cloth,” originated from Dasmariñas City, Cavite, and was addressed for delivery to Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Authorities discovered the suspected illegal drugs concealed in cloth after the shipment underwent X-ray scanning and physical inspection during a routine operation by the Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group and the PNP-Aviation Security Group.
The seized substance was subsequently turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for proper disposition.
The PDEA will handle the case for further investigation and appropriate action.
