MANILA, Philippines — Rain showers and thunderstorms may affect several parts of the Philippines on Thursday, October 22, while generally improving weather conditions are expected across the archipelago on Friday, October 23, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
For today, areas in the Visayas, Caraga and Northern Mindanao may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms associated with the trough of a tropical cyclone. Other parts of the country may see partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, particularly in the afternoon and evening.
On Friday, partly cloudy to cloudy skies are expected nationwide, although isolated rain showers and thunderstorms may still develop, especially later in the day.
Residents are advised to remain alert for sudden downpours, lightning, and possible localized flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone communities. Motorists should also exercise caution on slippery roads, while those planning outdoor activities are encouraged to bring umbrellas and monitor the latest PAGASA bulletins.
Weather conditions may vary by locality, and residents should follow official advisories for their respective areas.
