MANILA — Police arrested a 69-year-old woman in Sta. Mesa, Manila, on Monday by virtue of a warrant issued in connection with a case for slight physical injuries.
Arrested was Olivia Aldeza y Almaida, also known as Olivia Aldeza, a married and unemployed resident of Bataan Street, Barangay 615, Sta. Mesa.
Operatives of the Warrant Section of the Sta. Mesa Police Station (PS-8), led by PMAJ Izen O. Retorbar, served the warrant at about 3 p.m. on September 28, 2026, along Bataan Street corner Valenzuela Extension near Bacood Park.
Aldeza was brought to the police station at about 5:30 p.m. the same day.
The warrant was issued on September 23, 2026, by Judge John Paul Gapit Colago, presiding judge of the Metropolitan Trial Court, National Capital Judicial Region, Branch 22 in Manila, under Criminal Case No. M-MNL-26-06556.
The court recommended P3,000 bail for the case.
Police said Aldeza was informed of the warrant, the nature of the charge against her and her constitutional rights in a language she understood.
A body-worn camera and a Samsung device serving as an alternative recording device were used during the implementation of the warrant.
Police said the warrant will be returned to the court of origin for proper disposition.
