MANILA — Dalawang turistang Filipino at walo pang iba ang sugatan sa isang vehicular accident sa timog Alemanya, ayon sa ulat ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) ngayong Lunes, 28 Sept.
Ayon sa inisyal na report, naganap ang aksidente nang bumaligtad ang kanilang sasakyan habang patungo sa isang Oktoberfest beer festival sa Munich.
Ayon sa spokeswoman para sa Upper Bavaria police prefecture, iniimbestigahan pa ang dahilan ng pagbaligtad ng sasakyan na naglalaman ng may 50 turistang Pinoy.
“The vehicle left the road before overturning (at around 0400 GMT) near Buchloe, in a region close to the Austrian border. It had departed from the town of Mailand,” ayon pa sa DFA.
“Significant emergency resources were (immediately) deployed at the scene, and the motorway was closed in both directions,” dagdag pa nito.
Kinumpirma naman ng Philippine Consulate General sa Frankfurt ang bus crash at sinabing nakikipag-ugnayan na ito sa German authorities upang matulungan ang mga pamilya ng mga biktima.
“We extend our deepest condolences to those who lost their loved ones and our thoughts to those injured. The consulate is ready to provide consular assistance and support to those affected and their families,” pahayag ng konsulada.
