MANILA — A 46-year-old man listed as the Top 6 Most Wanted Person (Station Level) of the Sampaloc Police Station (PS-4) was arrested Wednesday evening in Quezon City by virtue of a warrant of arrest for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
The suspect, identified as Michael Dimanlig y Bernardo, was apprehended at around 6 p.m. on Aug. 5 along Kaliraya Street, Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City, during a joint operation conducted by the Warrant and Subpoena Section and the Intelligence Section of the Manila Police District’s Sampaloc Police Station.
Police said Dimanlig is facing a charge for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as amended.
The arrest stemmed from a Warrant of Arrest issued on July 17, 2026 by Regional Trial Court Branch 54 in Alaminos City, Pangasinan, presided over by Executive/Presiding Judge Arginald Julius C. Esguerra, under Criminal Case No. 8283-A. The court recommended no bail for the accused.
The operation was led by Police Major Richard R. Mansibang, Chief of the Station Intelligence and Investigation Management Section (SIDMS), under the supervision of Police Lieutenant Colonel Bryan B. Sagayadoro, Station Commander of Sampaloc Police Station.
Authorities said the suspect was informed of the nature of his arrest and was apprised of his constitutional rights in Tagalog, a language known and understood by him. Police added that the suspect chose to remain silent.
In compliance with Supreme Court Administrative Matter No. 21-06-08-SC, arresting officers used an alternative recording device (iPhone 13 Pro Max) to document the implementation of the warrant.
Police said the necessary documentation is being completed before the return of the served warrant to the issuing court.
Dimanlig is currently under detention at the Custodial Facility of Sampaloc Police Station (PS-4) pending further court proceedings.
