MANILA — The City Government of Manila received 100 smart television units from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) on Wednesday, bolstering the capital’s ongoing digital transformation and technology-driven public service initiatives.
The donation was formally turned over by PAGCOR Assistant Vice President Eric Balcos and Senior Manager Rydel De Guzman during a ceremony at Manila City Hall. The units were accepted by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Vice Mayor Chi Atienza.
Mayor Domagoso expressed his gratitude to PAGCOR for its continued support, describing the donation as another example of effective collaboration between government agencies to improve services for the people of Manila.
“The partnership reflects our shared commitment to delivering more efficient and responsive public service through the use of modern technology,” Domagoso said.
The mayor noted that the smart television units will be integrated into the city’s ongoing modernization program, supporting digital communication, information dissemination, and administrative operations across various local government offices.
He also assured PAGCOR that the donated equipment, along with other contributions received by the city government, would be properly managed and utilized for programs that directly benefit Manileños.
The latest donation reinforces Manila City’s push toward digital governance as the local government continues to adopt innovative technologies to enhance efficiency, transparency, and the overall delivery of public services.
