MANILA — A leading German technology company behind the Philippines’ digital land transportation platform has credited the Filipino public for helping transform the government’s modernization initiative into one of its most successful digital service programs.
Hamburg-based DERMALOG Identification Systems GmbH, developer of the Land Transportation Management System (LTMS), said the trust shown by millions of Filipinos has been instrumental in expanding the use of technology across the country’s land transportation sector.
Company Chief Executive Officer Günther Mull said the widespread acceptance of the platform demonstrates that digital transformation succeeds only when citizens embrace new technologies and actively participate in the modernization process.
He stressed that the LTMS has evolved into more than just a computer-based system, describing it as a tool that has helped simplify government transactions while making services faster, safer, and more transparent for the public.
The German firm also paid tribute to the Land Transportation Office (LTO), government officials, technical experts, and project partners whose collaboration ensured the successful rollout and continued operation of the nationwide platform.
According to DERMALOG, the combined efforts of both the public and government institutions have proven that technology can significantly improve the delivery of frontline services when backed by effective implementation and public confidence.
Looking ahead, the company reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Philippines in future digital transformation initiatives aimed at strengthening public administration, enhancing road safety, improving service efficiency, and reinforcing transparency in government operations.
DERMALOG is recognized internationally for developing biometric identification and digital security technologies used by governments, financial institutions, immigration authorities, and civil registration agencies. Its portfolio includes solutions for identity verification, border management, secure document authentication, banking systems, and large-scale e-government modernization projects in numerous countries around the world.
