MANILA — Oil companies are expected to implement mixed fuel price adjustments on Tuesday, June 30, with motorists likely to see either modest rollbacks or significant increases at the pumps, depending on the type of fuel.
The Department of Energy (DOE) said gasoline prices could either decline by ₱0.10 per liter or climb by as much as ₱1.90 per liter, while diesel prices may decrease by up to ₱1.16 per liter or increase by ₱0.84 per liter.
Kerosene prices are also projected to move in either direction, with possible reductions of ₱0.78 per liter or increases of as much as ₱1.22 per liter.
DOE Secretary Sharon Garin said the wide price range reflects continued uncertainty in the global oil market, although recent developments suggest that price volatility is beginning to ease.
“Prices are starting to stabilize,” Garin said during a media briefing on Monday.
She assured the public that the DOE will continue closely tracking international oil prices and provide timely updates on their impact on local fuel costs.
“We will continue to monitor market movements and keep consumers informed. We remain hopeful that fuel prices will continue to soften in the coming weeks,” Garin added.
Oil firms are expected to release their official pump price advisories ahead of Tuesday’s scheduled implementation.
