MANILA — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has opened public viewing for four luxury vehicles seized from detained contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya ahead of a scheduled public auction later this month.
In a statement, the BIR said interested bidders may inspect the vehicles at the agency’s central office in Quezon City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. before the June 29 auction.
The four vehicles have a combined appraised value of approximately P26.14 million.
Included in the auction are a 2023 Land Rover Defender 130 S valued at P8.4 million, a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Long Wheelbase worth P7.17 million, a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLS 350D AMG L with an estimated value of P7.1 million, and a 2017 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 316 CD valued at P3.47 million.
The BIR said the public auction forms part of the government’s efforts to dispose of seized assets in accordance with existing laws and regulations.
Interested participants are encouraged to inspect the vehicles before submitting their bids during the scheduled auction.
The agency has yet to release additional details regarding auction procedures and bidder requirements.
