MANILA — A 37-year-old man was killed in a shooting incident after he was found with a gunshot wound to the head while seated inside a tricycle parked outside his residence in Iloilo City.
Initial reports said the victim was discovered inside the vehicle along Gov. Macapagal Street. He was seated in the driver’s seat when he was allegedly shot on the left side of his head.
Police and emergency responders rushed to the scene and immediately transported the victim to a nearby hospital. However, attending physicians declared him dead on arrival.
Authorities have yet to identify the motive behind the attack, while the suspect reportedly fled the area immediately after the shooting.
Investigators are now reviewing available evidence and interviewing possible witnesses to establish the circumstances surrounding the killing and identify those responsible.
A manhunt operation has also been launched against the gunman.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing as they pursue leads that could help solve the case.
